Niger gov gets new CPS

A correspondent of Abuja-based Blueprint newspapers, Jibrin Ndace, yesterday assumed duty as the Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello.
Ndace’s appointment followed the resignation of former Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Ibraheem Dooba after barely six months in office.
Born on August 17, 1974, the new CPS is a graduate of English from Bayero University, Kano.
In a maiden meeting with newsmen yesterday in Minna, Ndace promised to bring his professional experience in news gathering and media management to bear in his new appointment, while soliciting for the cooperation of practitioners.
He pledged to open a new chapter in ensuring very cordial relationship between the media and the government for the development of the state.
“My duty is to ensure that we work together as a team. This appointment is an opportunity to contribute my quota to the development of the state. I therefore appeal for the support and cooperation of all journalists and media establishments for collective success”, he said.
