Police recover 38 vehicles from Zaria gang

Police in Zaria, Kaduna State, have recovered 38 vehicles from a gang that has been terrorizing residents of the city.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday, the Area Commander in charge of Zaria, Muhammad D. Shehu, said police had  been on the trail of the gang. He added that two people were also arrested.
“There is this notorious criminal gang that operates within Zaria and its environs. They specialize in collecting people’s vehicles at gunpoint. We succeeded in apprehending two of them and upon investigation, we were able to recover about 38 stolen vehicles from them,” AC Shehu said.
He added; “I want to assure the people of Zaria that the police are doing their best to ensure a crime free city. We would not rest on our oars until we send criminals away for absolute peace and stability.”
