B/Haram: Media centre set for information coordination

The Theatre Command of the ‘Operation Lafiya Dole’ in the Northeast region, yesterday, commissioned a media centre it established in Maiduguri for information coordination in respect of the ongoing war against Boko Haram militants.
The Theatre Commander, Maj.-Gen. Yusha’u Abubakar, who was represented by the General Officer Commanding (G.O.C), 7-Division, Maj.-Gen. Adeosun Olamidi, while declaring the centre open, said the media centre was established to bring media practitioners together so as to closely monitor the activities of the ongoing Operation Lafiya Dole.
“The Chief of Army Staff, Lit.-Gen. Tukur Buratai had directed the Theatre Command to establish a media centre from where the activities of the Theatre could be monitored hour to hour, day to day, weekly and monthly both electronically and through other means which is usefully applicable,” he said.
He also commended all the pressmen covering the activities of the military.
