Man causes highway traffic jam for marriage PROPOSAL

Vidal Valladares Navas, from Texas, must surely be regretting his romantic gesture – after police announced they were pressing charges.
He proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of one of the busiest roads in Houston, the I-45 freeway.
With the help of friends, he stopped the traffic behind them so he could get down on one knee on the tarmac.
Meanwhile, drivers blared their horns, seemingly furious at him for bringing traffic to a halt.
Police, having seen the video online, told Buzzfeed News they are going to charge him with a misdemeanour for blocking the road – an incredibly dangerous act.
Spokesperson Victor Senties said: “We do not encourage this type of thing because it’s very dangerous and people could have lost their lives.”
Navas, speaking to the Houston Chronicle, said: “I never really thought about causing an accident. I thought about my girlfriend.”
“I just wanted to do something different,” he added.
The life-threatening location was chosen because the couple’s second date was a motorbike ride on the freeway.
Navas has since told ABC13 that he’s sorry: “I’m feeling bad, and of course I just wanted to apologize to everyone if I caused any problems.
“That wasn’t my intention in the beginning. I just wanted to do something different.”
Internet users have blasted Navas for his stunt, with one criticising their “self-centered rudeness”, and another deeming the act “selfish and inconsiderate”
