The police public relations officer, Benue State command, SP Daniel Ezeala, said three of those arrested were members of the six-man gang of suspected armed robbers who broke into the house of one Jacob Ikyunda at Daudu in Guma Local Government Area and dispossessed him of the sum of N960,000 and recharge cards worth N150,000.
He added that the fourth person, one John Kambe of Adikpo town in Kwande Local Government Area, was apprehended by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad on a stop-and-search duty with an English revolver pistol, while other members of his gang took to their heels.
He further revealed that members of a three-man robbery gang that operated in Makurdi metropolis were arrested after a hot chase by police operatives.
They include Terna Iorkyaan, Monday Ikyor and Ngudoon Iorhenen, the female suspect.
Ezeala added that the suspects were rounded up in a Honda car with registration number BC 582 RSH, where a locally made pistol with two live cartridges was recovered.
