Tambuwal assures on welfare of civil servants

Sokoto state government will continue to improve the welfare of the civil servants in the state, Governor Aminu Tambuwal has assured. 


He also said the ongoing staff census was introduced  in order to have accurate data of the civil servants.


Tambuwal stated this when a team from the office of the Head of Service enrolled his details into the register of enumerated staff. 


He urged civil servants whose biometrics was yet to be captured  to ensure they are captured before the end of the exercise.

 

The governor  said the exercise  was to ensure up-to-date record of all government  workers. 


"This exercise will enable us have the proper list of staff in the payroll of the Sokoto state government and importantly, it will enable us plan better going forward,” he said. 

 


 He noted that over 90% of civil servants had already been captured.

 


  Head of Service of Sokoto State, Dr. Buhari Bello Kware, lauded  the Governor for the concern over the  welfare of the civil servants in the state.


 Various programmes had been introduced by the present administration aimed at improving welfare of the civil  servants for effective service delivery, he stated.
