Insecurity: Tiv group asks security chiefs to resign

A socio-cultural umbrella body of the Tiv people,  Mdzough u Tiv, has asked all the security chiefs in Nigeria to resign, saying that they have failed the nation.

The President General of the group, Engr. Edward Ujege, said yesterday in Makurdi that the continued killings of Tiv people across some states in the country were unacceptable.

“It is a genocide to exterminate the Tiv race. I therefore call on the security chiefs to resign,” he said, asserting that the President Muhammed Buhari government had failed in securing the lives of Nigerians so much that most citizens had now lost confidence in the administration.
