Due to the recent Lassa fever outbreak, the Adamawa State Government has procured drugs and personal protection equipment.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Fatima Atiku Abubakar, made this known to newsmen, adding that emergency operation centers for the management of such cases had been established.

She said from record so far, 102 had contacted the disease and were under close observation and care, and called on the general public to report any suspected cases to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Yola.
