FG signs pact with 3 more firms on power

Prof. Nebo who signed the pacts in Abuja charged the companies to deliver on their promise to boost the level of power supply.
The firms are 3D Hitech System Ltd, SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Corporation and CGC Nigeria Ltd who will be doing projects in electricity generation and distribution across the country.
 Nebo said 3D Hitech system Ltd demonstrated capacity in test running the 110megawatts (mw) power plant it is working on, adding that it will soon be commissioned. He said that the new pact for 500mw gas fired turbine to be cited in Ajaokuta, Kiogi State, would also go a long way in enriching the national grid.
The minister who also said transmission was fast becoming a major bottleneck in the distribution of electricity, noted that both the CGC Nig Ltd and SEPCOIII have interest in financing and providing transmission infrastructure, assuring them of the full backing of the federal government.
Chief Executive Officer, 3D Hitech System Ltd, Mr. Patrick Azi, stated that the ground breaking ceremony for the 500mw turbine will soon be held, giving the assurance of its installation within the next six to nine months.
