In a statement in Abuja yesterday, Engr Bello said his declaration is pursuant to Section 31 (1) of the Electoral Act, 2010, as amended, and consistent with the guidelines issued by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the conduct of primary elections at all levels.
He said his resolve to contest the Niger governorship under the PDP was to take the state to the next level of development.
Bello, who is a one-time minister of commerce under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, said he would bring his experience to bear if given the PDP ticket.
