‘APC’s best bet is to pair Nda-Isaiah with Fashola’

How prepared are you for the APC governorship race?
I would like to re-affirm to you that any Peoples Democratic Party member parading himself as APC aspirant is just wasting his energy and the ill-gotten wealth given to him to sabotage and subvert the party candidate and the party itself.
Are you saying the PDP is sponsoring some people in the APC?
Let me tell you something. It is a well-known fact in Kebbi State that a serving government official sent his close friends to disrupt our activities but he will not succeed, insha Allah.
Seven aspirants have agreed to step down for a sole candidate. What will be your position since you are not part of the seven?
The new APC constitution will not allow such type of  saboteurs to collect the nomination form, and even if they try through dubious ways. I am calling on the leadership of the party, as a matter of urgency, to form a progressive committee that will look into any issue relating to the emergence of a consensus candidate. This will help the party to field credible people to enable us wrest power in the state and at the national level.
How prepared are you to wrest power from the ruling PDP in the state?
I don’t need 9.3 million dollars to buy arms to win election at all cost in my state. The youth of today know the danger of money politics and are ready to defend their votes at all costs as guided by our new national party chairman, John Oyegun, and other party leaders and executives.
What’s your vision for Kebbi?
I will reform the civil service from its oversized structure to make it efficient and effective, give long-term credit facilities to the teaming unemployed youth to go into mechanised farming to reduce drug addiction and political thuggery; attract foreign investment, that is boost Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), to reduce dependence on federal allocation.
What is your take on APC presidential aspirants who have declared their intention?
Let us be honest with ourselves, all the aspirants are credible but there is need to advise former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Gen Muhammadu Buhari and Rabiu Kwankwaso to support Sam Nda Isaiah/Babatunde Fashola ticket since Buhari/Tinubu ticket cannot work.
Do you think INEC will conduct credible election?
To be honest with you INEC is not prepared to conduct free and fair election. They spent billions of tax payers’ money to print voter’s cards that they claimed to be biometric which if you register in Kebbi, you cannot go to Bayelsa to vote a candidate of your choice. INEC has, however, brought a good policy of adding polling units that is discouraged by the PDP agents.
In your view, what is the solution to the current insecurity in the North East?
We need to vote in credible and honest candidates who have the ability to change the entire system especially the economy and to create employment. Dialogue with the Boko Haram sect is the only key to have a lasting peace. They should encourage the insurgents to repent, remain in Sambisa forest and convert the large forest into a mechanised farmland to boost agric production in the country.
