Yobo backs new NFF executive committee

According to Yobo, his decision was based on the fact that Pinnick has what it takes to take Nigerian football to the next level.
“I have known Amaju, for some time and I know he is a man full of ideas. He has always had lofty plans for Nigerian football and I think the opportunity has come for him to put those things into practice. We have all seen what he did in Delta State. That is a pointer to what he is capable of achieving at the national level,” he said.
He called on Nigerian football fraternity to support the Pinnick-led NFF board.
“It is not really going to be easy. I also know that there was a lot of administrative wrangling during the process leading to the NFF elections. Amaju has the task of uniting all the disgruntled stakeholders. We all need to cooperate with him in this regard because no progress can be recorded in a crisis situation. The stories we were getting from across the world were not palatable. I hope the emergence of Amaju will signal an end to the crisis in Nigerian football,” he added.
The record capped Nigerian ex-international is optimistic the Amaju-led board can surpass the previous board’s accomplishments.
