Bad roads worry residents of One Man Village

According to them, the situation has also affected economic activities in the community.
The residents said they used to take longer but alternative road to their houses and places of work.
Sanisu Yahaya, one of the residents, described the roads as serious challenge, adding: “After facing the gridlock along Mararaba-AYA road thinking that we have reached our destination, then this bad road stares you in the face.”  
Another resident, Nwachukwu Esther, said: “The road becomes worse whenever it rains. The road gets flooded and makes my car dirty, the road is bad.’’
She said if the road was good, it would not take more than five minutes from the expressway to her house, but she spends more than fifteen minutes.
In his observation, Desmond Peter, another resident, said the road could have been damaged due to the lack of drainages in the area. He said there is need for a proper drainage system in the road.
Peter said some residents do dump refuse on the road, making the flow of water difficult. He appeals to the government to repair roads in the community.
The residents stated their readiness to assist the government in the renovation of the road, saying the bad road affects their cars and delays movement to their places of work.
