He said rather than helping matters, politicians have been compounding the problem by heating up the polity because of their 2015 electoral aspirations.
Speaking with Daily Trust in Ilorin yesterday, he expressed regret that the nation is on a near precipice, saying, “We are facing a near state of war and we cannot be indifferent to what is happening with the insurgency in the North-east. It affects our peace and stability.
“We cannot pretend that all is well because we are faced with a situation that can lead to a situation where people will not be at peace with themselves. We have not reached the promised land”.
