Students seek speedy scholarship scheme implementation

The National Association of Kaduna State Students (NAKASS) has called on the state government to fast track the implementation of the new scholarship scheme. 

The association however disassociated itself from some students who threatened to shut down the state Government House over non-payment of their bursary since 2015. The said students gave Governor Nasir El-Rufai 14 days to begin a scholarship scheme.

The President of NAKASS, Yahaya Abdullahi, said a strong move had been made towards the payment of the scholarship as the government had introduced a new scholarship scheme with emphasis on merit and needs-base where students would be paid scholarship that would be enough to cater for their academic needs.
