Character Commission seeks review of ‘peculiar’ allowance

Abdulraheem made the appeal Thursday when he paid a working visit to the wages commission where he stated that an upward review of peculiar allowance will encourage employees to perform better.   
On his part, Chairman of the (NSIWC) Richard Egbule assured the character commission that he will give the request adequate attention.
Meanwhile, Egbule has also assured the Military Pensions Board (MPB) on issues concerning the harmonisation of pensions of retirees pre and post consolidation, saying demands will be given due consideration when it is properly sent to the wages commission by the Ministry of Defence.
Chairman of (MPB) Air Commodore Mohammad Rabi’u Dabo had earlier stressed the need for both commissions to work together.
