New number plates: No going back on June 30 deadline —FRSC

Chijoka, while briefing journalists at the weekend in Uyo, at the end of a tour to monitor compliance level in Cross River and Akwa Ibom States, said it would be a criminal offence for any motorist to have on his/her car, the old number plate by July 1st .
“We want members of the public to know that June 30th is the deadline for full compliance. We want the media to help us create awareness. It is criminal for anyone to refuse to give complete data of his vehicle, including the chassis number,’’ he said.
The Corps Marshall, who was represented by the commander in charge of zone 5, comprising Edo, Delta and Anambra States, Mr. Nsebong Akpabio, said there are 31 selling points and three centres for issuance of driving licenses in the state, urging members of the public to go the designated centres.
