Dangote emerges overall winner at Kaduna fair

Dangote Group also came first in the food and beverages section of the award.
The award committee of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Mines, Industry and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) said Dangote’s emergence as the best brand for this year’s fair was not surprising as the group support, sponsorship, branding and marketing efforts bolstered the event.
Speaking, the President of KADCCIMA, Dr Abdul Alimi Bello, while applauding the group’s sponsorship said the conglomerate has contributed enormously to the development of the Nigerian economy.
During this year’s fair, Dangote cement promo attracted many participants who turned the company’s pavilion to a Mecca of a sort.
Director General of the Kaduna Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), Usman Salau, applauded the partnership with Dangote, saying the promo really helped in deepening the fair and increasing participation.
The fair was officially declared closed by the Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Ramalan Mukhtar Yero.
The governor singled out the Dangote Group for commendation and said “Nigeria needs more of Dangotes.”
He said his administration has initiated laudable programmes in agriculture and mortgage, adding that Kaduna State is peaceful and the preferred investment destination in the North.
He urged the general public to shun low quality cement products and patronise Dangote Cement.
Dangote Cement produces cement at its Obajana, Gboko and Ibese plants in Nigeria. Its output has surpassed the national average need of Nigerians.
The trade fair which was officially opened Saturday, Feb 22 ended March 2.
