Its cultural attaché and head of the centre, Mr. Chen Peng told Daily Trust in Abuja yesterday at the presentation of a popular Chinese film “Mulan” that the centre would soon exposed Nigerians to various lectures, exhibitions, paintings and paper cuttings.
He said the centre would provide avenue for Chinese language classes, musical instruments, tea, Kung-fu, acupuncture and ensuring that its cultural troops fully participate in the annual Abuja carnival.
On “Mulan” it is an adaption of the Balland Mulan, a folk song of the Northern Dynasties in ancient China and tells a story about a girl named Hua Mulan, who disguised herself as a man, took the place of her old and sick father to join the army, fought gallantly the invading enemy on the battlefield, and gradually grew into a renowned Chinese heroine.
