Present your kids, parents told as polio immunization begins

The Kaduna State chapter of the Journalists Initiative on Immunization against Polio (JAP) has asked parents to make their children available as polio vaccination for the month of January starts tomorrow.

The state Coordinator of JAP, Lawal A. Dogara, said in a statement yesterday that the vaccination would be conducted on the street, from house to house, in markets and motor parks and along highways.  

He said vaccination would enable the children grow healthier, for which reason “parents should allow the vaccinators to attend to their wards.”

JAP said arrangement had been made for the smooth conduct of the exercise by the state government, State Primary Health Care Development Agency (SPHCDA), development partners and other stakeholders.
