Are women monkeys and men baboons?

Listening to Dolly Parton’s eerie lyrics, it’s like ‘she’s an eagle when she flies’ you would be grateful you had a woman in your life either as mother, wife, and daughter or even as a friend.
This may sound poetic alright? It goes like this… “She is been there and God knows she been there. She has seen and done it all. She is woman she knows how to dish it out and take it all. Still, she weathers stormy skies. You can toss her round, but you can never keep her down. She is a lover, a mother, a friend and she is a wife. She’s a sparrow when she is broken, but she is an eagle when she flies…’, these were the words of Dolly Parton.
Mercy Adora a house wife who has been married for 10 years, says as a woman she makes sure the home front isn’t neglected in anyway. She makes it clear that it is the responsibility of a woman to sacrifice whatever she can to make sure the home doesn’t suffer.
“For the sake and peace of the home, I try my best to make sure that there is sanity in the house though I know,  I carry out most of the responsibilities in the home. But where do I have to go now after three kids?  What is it that I am looking for after these kids? They are my life now and will sacrifice anything to make sure they have a humble life. My leaving would only make things worse for them.  I’ve to remain strong for them no matter the circumstances I might be facing. How many men would make this sacrifice for their children or even their families?” Mrs. Adora asks.
A woman’s strengths never cease to amaze a lot of people. She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens; she holds happiness, love and opinions. She smiles when she feels like screaming, she sings when she feels like crying, cries when she’s happy, and laughs when she’s afraid. Her love is unconditional, there’s only one thing wrong with her and that is that sometimes she forgets what she is worth.
Mr. Abdul Olaoye says without the woman, nothing can be achieved in the home.  He believes a woman was created as a special being for multi- tasks and funny enough, without her nothing goes smoothly in the home.
Olaoye contends that “Yes!  It is often said that it is a man’s world, but the question is, how does a woman, works for a full time job, raises the kids, keeps a house, and still finds the time to spend with her partner? It is even more for stay-at-home moms. Not many men would want that job; because they would become very grumpy from the normal everyday routine, they would have to contend with in the house”.
He said “from the time they get up, they are cleaning, cooking, dressing the kids, feeding the family, running errands and making sure the daily affairs of the home run smoothly. They continue these till when everyone is asleep and they can finally call it a day. The same routine comes up again the next day. And sometimes, even more, if she is a working mother or wife. It’s a woman’s multi –tasks; and without her nothing positive can really be achieved at the home front. In words,   it is a man’s world, but in reality, it is the women who really own the world”.
A woman’s courage and strength is a badge she wears with honor. She proudly wears that badge because she knows what she’s been through. She knows the roads   she has traveled on and what has happened along the way. Most often,  she will not reward or encourage herself. She knows what plans she has and what she has to do to accomplish them.
A woman’s strength and courage are passed to those who are close to her or not. She will not see them fall, nor will she see them fail. She defies all odds to be strong for others than herself.
To think that what she gets in return and appreciation is bashing and tongue lashing from an ungrateful husband, children and even friends is bizarre. But do not forget that this is not a man bashing article. It is just to show what men may have been overlooking in their lives. Many men take her s person for granted. Learn to be grateful if you have one in your life, so you don’t lose the woman of your life.
A woman’s strength has been passed to her from every woman in her linage. She carries a large legacy. Longing, wishing and hoping that all will turn out well and better than before, she wears her badge proudly. A woman’s courage and strength is her honour. I repeat, a badge she wears with pride and honour, not compared to another.
“Never underestimate the power and strength of a woman. For, we are mysterious creatures that can never be explained. We are survivors and fighters and yet still possess the ability to cry. We stand strong even when the burden of the world seems to be weighing us down. Even when we fall, we always pull ourselves back up, crawl, stand and finally walk again. The badge to be called a woman or a mother is something I will graciously and proudly wear anytime any day,” says Mrs. Bashira Bello an accountant.
It is said it is a man’s world, but reality shows otherwise. A woman doesn’t need to be too loud to be noticed. It is evident now that the strength of the woman really binds the world together.
