Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP) Bauchi will allow persons living with disability to study for free.
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Suleiman Lame, disclosed this over the weekend after inspecting the newly constructed departments of Tourism and Mass Communication (HND) complexes.
He reiterated that all physically challenged individuals in the state willing to study any course in the school could do that free of charge, and that other students wishing to study Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry Education in the polytechnic could also enroll free of charge.
Dr Lame explained that the polytechnic came up with the policy to empower people with disability through education and motivate basic science students because secondary schools in the state were facing shortage of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry teachers.
