The Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu has claimed innocence over charges brought against him by the federal government that he acquired illegal property. He described it as politics of 2019.

He however condemned wholly the activities of Okoi Obla and his associate on recovery of government’s property, adding that the group are ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)lawyers.

Ekeweremadu made this known in Abakaliki where South East Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders met on Sunday to rob minds over the affairs of the party, ahead of 2019.
