Adieu! Maimuna, our Miss Dimples

Your beautiful smile and pretty face had not changed. Your children were all so handsome, pretty and loveable. I can’t forget Noah refusing to sit quietly or Kamsi asking for milk or the twins playing with their toys. When I left you at the Guest House on Friday, little did I know that that would be the last time I would see you all. Haba, we made plans to “hook up”, but God knows best.

To the Anyene family, we love you but God loves you more. You will be missed but forever remain in my heart.

Words fail as it is still a tough task to accept all this. The scream was a heart wrenching ‘noooo Chinedu’ when she called me because you told me you were leaving on Saturday. We ate from the same plate Friday night, remember; and went off to see your children at home. Such lovely kids, all the hugging and cuddling, I still remember. Well you were one wonderful and blessed person, I always loved and admired you. It is well with my soul, keep resting and kisses to your four angels, your mum and dear Onyeka. We’ll miss you.

SPONSOR AD

Several names describe this brilliant and adorable friend and her amazing husband Onyeka! Maimu we just spent Thursday and Friday together eating, laughing and talking about everything. (She was always laughing …with the deepest dimples on earth). We took pictures and amateur videos with our kids, and now that is all I have left. I thank GOD that we got to spend this time with you, your four angels and your cousins. We will miss you all terribly. I know members of your beautiful family are all together in a better place. Thank you for being a great friend. May God help your families (the Anyene’s and the Mijindadi’s) get over this tragedy. Rest in Peace.

The fabulous Miss Dimples, QC W class of ‘96 could not have been the same without you. You always had a big smile on your face. Even when you where mad, your dimples would show. You had your four amazing babies, married the man of your dreams and left an amazing example for those of us left behind.

You came to Abuja to see ‘W’ girls not knowing you where coming to say goodbye. We will always love you, always miss you, and always think of you and celebrate your life. Thank God for sending you to us many years ago and thank you for the years. Now you see the number of lives you’ve touched across the globe. Adieu sweet Meimil.

We were so thrilled when to hear your sweet voice when you came to Abuja. We hadn’t seen each other in over fifteen years and when we re-united less than two days before you left us forever, it was just like our teenage years. Time stood still, nothing changed…

We were back again in our QC uniforms chatting away. We didn’t know you came to say good-bye. The pain and heart break is mine to bear, but for you… peace.

May the Divine mercy of our Eternal Father lead you and your beautiful family to life eternal.  Amen

Miss Dimples, rest in peace our dear friend, rest in peace.
