Happy to be a voice and representative of the UN, songwriter and performer, Sound Sultan said the appointment by the Universal Peace Federation was an initiative to foster peace for a better world.
Also recently appointed as goodwill ambassador for Project Alert and visibly whelmed by the appointment, Weird MC expressed her joy at being identified as a Peace Ambassador. “I’m deeply happy and honoured. It will help me serve my country better. I already served as a celebrity Road Safety Marshall but being appointed as a UN ambassador for Youth and peace comes with greater responsibility.”
She explained that with Project Alert, “we run a safe haven for women in domestic abuse situation. We counsel and aim to reposition them in the country.”
Previous appointees in the Nigeria’s celebrity scene include Flavour, Timaya, Ini Edo, D’Banj, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Ramsey Noah, Kefee and Chika Ike.
