Katsina State governor Aminu Masari, has approved the appointments of new Special Adviser to the Governor on Higher Education and a Permanent Commissioner in the State Civil Service Commission.
Those appointed were Malam Bashir Usman Ruwangodiya as the Special Adviser, Department of Higher Education and Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Sandamu as the new Permanent Commissioner in the Civil Sevice Commission.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa said the appointment of the new Special Adviser on Higher Education was based on section 196, sub-section 1 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended While the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Sandamu as the Permanent Commissioner was for 5 year term tenure.
The statement further said their appointments were in recognition of their track record of service and on conviction that the duo would serve the State diligently and in the best interest of the service.
Governor Masari then congratulated the appointees and prayed for them Allah’s guidance in discharging their duties:
Until his appoint, Malam Bashir Usman Ruwangodiya was a Lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic while Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Sandamu retired as Head of Personnel, from the unified Local Government Sevice.
Both appointments are with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the Senior Staff Association Of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP), Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic Chapter – Katsina has congratulated it’s fellow Comrade and Colleague, Muhammad Bashir Usman Ruwangodiya on his appointment as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Higher Education, Katsina State.
The Union’s chairman Mansur Garba in a statement described the apoitnment as timely and well deserved appointment.
‘ it is SSANIP’s believe that, you will partner with Unions and Managements of the Tertiary Institutions in the State with a view to taking Higher Education to greater heights’ it said
