President Muhammadu Buhari has replaced the late Senator John Shagaya with a former Plateau State deputy governor, Mr Ignatius Longjan as Chairman of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru near Jos.

Shagaya died on February11 in an auto crash, while travelling from Lantang to Jos, Plateau State.

This was as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo inaugurated the governing boards of the NIPS, National Boundary Commission (NBC) and Border Community Development Agency (BCDA).

Inaugurating the boards, Osinbajo represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr Boss Gida Mustapha urged the new board members being superintendent by his office to focus on economic development of the country.

The Speaker House of Representatives,Yakubu Dogara represented by the House Majority Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila said the boards were critical to national development and urged them to contribute their quota to the nation’s economic growth.
