“Giving thanks in every situation, thanksgiving is good. Sing praises to God all the time because it makes us feel joyful. We should declare his loving kindness every morning we wake up,” he told the RCCG congregation last Sunday.
He explained thus: “that our organs are functioning He deserves our praise. It is the faithfulness of God that keeps us throughout the whole day. If you thank him for his loving kindness in the morning do the same at night.”
Quoting from 1st Samuel 16: 1-13, Pastor Daramola said “God remembered David when he was roaming in the bush in a bid to fend for his family. David wasn’t the only son; he was the last, but he was occasionally singled out for God’s blessings. God saved David from Goliath. That he, David, could confront Goliath was because he had the backing of God. His victory brought him to limelight. God delivered him from Saul 21 times because of his attitude of praise.”
Giving other examples in the Bible, the pastor said, “Solomon, from his humble beginnings, always thanked God. Solomon thanked God for helping him to secure a better future. When we give thanks, we get more benefits of thanksgiving.”
Pastor Daramola listed some of the reasons why we should continually thank God:” Thank him for his faithfulness; loving kindness; for his deliverance; thank him for his mercies also.”
Stating further, he said, “the Grace of God is limited to the proud. To enjoy the dividends of thanksgiving, pride and arrogance should be kept at bay to ensure quality thanksgiving. God resists the proud but give grace to the humble.”
