The National ICT Olympiad aimed at developing a new generation of skilled young Nigerians in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has opened its portal for registration of students.

“The Olympiad has been designed to train, empower and enlighten an average of 3,000 students a year through the Olympiad boot camp.

“As part of the Olympiad curriculum, students will be mentored by qualified Human resources persons in the areas of business management and soft skills that are required to transform their ideas to sustainable businesses.

“The mentorship programme would be in a camp format where participating students would stay and be tutored on site.

“After presenting application solutions to societal problems, the students would be mentored by renowned business executives and qualified career coaches.

“The students will also be attached to reputable firms as interns, so that they can learn and experience the rudiments of business administration,” the statement added.

It further noted that the competition is open to all private and public schools across the country, as registration closes by March 23, 2018.
