The senator stated this at an interactive forum organised by the PDP Forum, Southern Senatorial District in Shendam, to mark Nigeria’s 10th anniversary of democratic rule, with the theme: “The welfare of the people and security of life and property”.
According to him, the chairman should have addressed the issue when he noticed that there were aggrieved members, adding that the issue rested squarely with the state party chairman.
“The chairman of the PDP in the state should have seriously addressed that issue. Once you have two children quarrelling, you must call them to find out the source of that problem”.
He added that failure to do that would only bring about protest vote against that individual, stressing that, “Whatever his behaviour is, which is leadership failure, may not affect the entire voting power of PDP in Plateau state.”
Shagaya, however, maintained that PDP remains one PDP since PDP government in the centre has not cracked, “PDP at the national level as headed by Ogbulafor is still one PDP, and it has not cracked”. He said.
