Buratai meets Buhari, to celebrate Sallah with troops

He said this in an interview with State House journalists yesterday after meeting behind closed-doors with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buratai was not at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday when the president met with other new service chiefs after their appointments were announced.
The new Chief of Army Staff declined comments on what transpired at his meeting with the president yesterday.
“I am just a few hours on the seat. We will be talking later. But I will be going to Damaturu tomorrow to visit the troops. I want to go and celebrate Sallah with them,” he said.
Until his new appointment, Buratai, who hails from Borno State, was the Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force which has its headquarters in Ndjamena, Chad.
The acting army chief had hitherto served as Commander of the Nigerian Army’s 2nd Brigade in Port Harcourt and Commander of the Nigerian Army School of Infantry in Jaji, Kaduna State.
