EHOAN calls for vigorous tree planting

Nuhu who made the call at Idah, in Idah Local Government of Kogi State, while speaking with journalists on climate change, said afforestation was indispensable in the preservation of the planet.
“Today, it is well known that many unfriendly environmental activities such as indiscriminate bush burning, deforestation, mineral exploitation, industrial manufacturing processes and mechanised farming among many others endanger the planet,” he said.
Nuhu also suggested that sustained enlightenment programmes be organised from time to time to encourage positive actions that would preserve the ecosystem.
