Addressing supporters in Yola, the governor-elect called for cooperation from the people of the state in order to succeed in delivering on the promises he made.
“I want to thank the people of Adamawa particularly those who stood by us and brought me here. I want to assure the people of Adamawa that I will be a governor for all irrespective of tribe, religion or party affiliation”, Bindow said.
He solicited for the support of members of other political parties in the state in order to move the state forward.
“Let’s join hands and work together for the peace and progress of the state”, Bindow said while lauding the support of President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to his victory in Adamawa.
The People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) governorship candidate, Dr. Ahmad Moddibo congratulated the governor-elect for emerging winner in a free and fair election. In a statement by his director of media and publicity, Modibbo expressed appreciation to Adamawa electorate for conducting themselves peacefully during the elections.
