Ugbah now DG of Ortom’s campaign organisation

Ugbah who was the 2011 defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governorship candidate in the state had a protracted legal battle with Governor Gabriel Suswam which terminated in favour of the latter at the Supreme Court last year.
He went to court in December and got an injunction to stop the APC governorship primary election which was holding at IBB Square in Makurdi about midnight because he was excluded from the contest by the party machinery at the state level.
Announcing his new position at a stakeholders meeting in Makurdi yesterday, APC’s gubernatorial flag bearer, Dr. Samuel Ortom accepted the goodwill of the leaders of the various support groups who also pledged their support to work for the victory of the party in next month’s general elections.
Other speakers at the meeting called on Ortom to integrate them into his campaign organisation to complement party activities.
Professor Ugbah thereafter presented Ortom and his running mate, Engr Benson Abounu to his supporters while urging them to work for the party to win the 2015 race in the state.
Ugbah, with two others, Emmanuel Jime and Senator Joseph Waku, were among the APC governorship aspirants who vehemently opposed the emergence of Ortom as the APC gubernatorial candidate and had gone to court to stop him.
