Kogi FA moves election to February 27

The elective congress of the Kogi State Football Association earlier fixed for February 26 have been shifted by one day to Friday, February 27, the secretariat has revealed.

In a statement signed by the secretary of the state FA, Mr Augustine Ogunmola, the body disclosed that the postponement was due to clash with other activities of the association.

The statement therefore, appealed to all aspirants and delegates to exercise patience with the state’s football body.

Ogunmola stated in the statement that the set dates for submission of nomination forms and screening of candidates remained unchanged  as earlier fixed for February 20 and 24 respectively.

The retired veteran referee also announced an increment in the number of delegates for the elective congress to 17 against 10 earlier listed following a directive from the Nigeria Football Federation electoral committee to included affiliated bodies and councils.

The elective congress will help usher in new executive board of the state FA.
