Justice Gabriel Kolawole yesterday, granted the application by prosecuting Counsel, Chioma Onuegbu, who prayed the court to exclude members of the public from the trial, except accredited members of the press and the court should not disclose the identities of witnesses in the trial.
Yakubu Abdullahi (alias Alhaji Bala), Yasir Salihu (alias Dan Birnin), Bilyaminu Usman (alias Bilya) and Musa Abubakar (alias Malam) were accused of conspiring to kill Albani, his wife and son on February 1. In a seven-count charge by the AGF, the suspects were alleged to have killed the prominent cleric and leader of the Sallafiyya Movement in Zaria, Kaduna State, his wife Umma Abdul-Bari Albani and 18-year-old son Abdullahi Albani with two AK-47 rifles.
The judge has adjourned the case to February 24 for arraignment of the suspects.
