Islamic medic association donates to IDPs

The items donated include clothes and food items.
The IDPs largely displaced from Gwoza Local Government Area by insurgency ravaging Borno State were about 722 using two toilets, City News observed.
Members of IMAN led by Dr. Sule Ahmad educated the IDPs on simple hygienic routine for healthy living.
Dr. Ahmad said, “Our main aim of visiting the camp is to show love to the IPDs and also know their problems in view of solving them.
“It’s going to be a continuous process for us as long as they remain.”
He further advised the IDPs to live in peace and harmony irrespective of their religious and ethnic differences.
Coordinator of the camp, Philimon Emmanuel, who hails from Gworza while thanking the association, urged the Federal Government to assist them to live a healthier life, saying they lacked access to potable water.
“We want the Federal Government to help us. We don’t have good water here. Our only source of water is the nearby river which is not safe for drinking,” he said.
