President Goodluck Jonathan has nominated former minister of state for defence senator Musiliu Obanikoro for confirmation as minister representing Lagos state.
Others on the list include Senator Patricia Akwashiki from Nasarawa state who will replace former Information Minister Labaran Maku who is now running for the state governorship under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
Mrs. Hauwa Lawan from Jigawa state will replace former minister of state for defence Dr. Nurudeen Mohammed who is the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship running mate in the state.
From Taraba state, Senator Joel Danlami Ikenya is nominated, Col. Augustine O. Abia state. Engr. Fidelis Nwankwo Ebonyi, Mr. Kenneth Kobani Rivers and Professor Nicolas Ada from Benue state.
The nominees will fill the vacancies created by the exit of former ministers who left to contest for the governorship primaries of the ruling People’s Democratic Party.
