A statement issued by the commission yesterday, signed by its spokesperson, Folu Olamiti, said the family’s rare patriotic act was worthy of emulation by well-meaning citizens.
The ICPC declared Mr. John wanted for alleged fraudulent activities in an advertorial in a national newspaper on the 9th February, 2015.
“Two days after, on Wednesday, 11th February, 2015 at 9am his family and friends turned Joseph in at the ICPC Headquarters in Abuja and he is currently in the commission’s custody and has been very cooperative and made useful statements,” the statement said.
