Ortom who made the remark in Makurdi shortly after inspecting damage done to his property by suspected political opponents, told his supporters not to retaliate as no amount of attacks on him and his campaign property will intimidate or distract him from the determination to win the election.
“The attacks have arisen out of fear which has made the ruling party to come out to intimidate, frustrate, smear and do all kinds of things to stop me but it is already late, there is no way anyone can stop our victory now which God had destined long ago,” he said.
He said the plan of his opponents was meant to eliminate him but assured that his life is not in the hands of any human being and that except the destiny of God for him is fulfilled, no one would have any power over him.
The guber hopeful therefore urged his supporters not to be troubled by the activities of those who do not mean well for his vision, adding that, “it is a shame to come and destroy the very place where we are providing employment to over 400 people, but as bad as the development is it has promoted our campaigns greatly.”
Ortom’s private business property was torched on Saturday by some persons who the police described as “miscreants.”
