Nigeria’s U20 male football team, Flying Eagles stole the show during the just concluded expanded Super Four tournament meant to prepare the participating teams for forthcoming intercontinental engagements.
The U20 team defeated Enyimba FC Flying 2 :0 and League Champions Kano Pillars 2:1 in their first and second game respectively.
They beat Warri Wolves 1:0 in the third day of the tournament before going on to trash Dolphins 4: 1 to win the tournament with a game to spare.
The boys drew the final day match last Sunday 3:3 against the national U23 team.
Speaking after the final match, assistant coach of the team, Nduka Ugbade said the team is looking towards doing well at the forthcoming Africa U20 Championship in Senegal before going on to win the FIFA 20 Championship.
Also, one of the stars in the team, Chidera Eze promised that the team will not disappoint in Senegal come next month.
The fabric of the Flying Eagles team is made up of players that won the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2013.
