Speaker of the House, Ahmed Musa Mohammed, criticised the implementation of the 2014 budget, citing many lapses. He said the government failed to meet new accounting standards because the finance ministry staff lack up to date training.
The speaker advised the government to prioritise training and retraining of its accountants to meet the latest accounting standards.
