Lagos state governor-elect Akinwuni Ambode has promised to reposition the state by improving on what the out-going Babatunde Fashola’a administration achieved.
Speaking in the public for the first time after INEC declared him the winner of last Saturday’s governorship election Ambode promised he will devote himself to bringing greater prosperity, growth and development to the state when he takes over as the 14th Governor of the state in May.
Ambode who gave the assurance in his acceptance speech at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Lagos said he will run an all inclusive government and ensure no one is victimized in the state.
The former Accountant General of the state thanked Lagosians for voting for him adding “The people of Lagos has demonstrated that it is not about ethnicity, or religion but about a common desire to enthrone good governance.” He said: “Lagos under my watch will not discriminate. It has not in the past. It has not in the present; not even in the future. There will be no political victimisation.”
