Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State said his re-election was a victory for all Kwarans, saying the election had “taken power back to the people”.
He promised to sit down with the people and articulate programmes and policies that would drive governance, stressing that he would religiously hold on to his campaign promises.
Ahmed who disclosed that none of his opponents had called to concede defeat urged them to join hands with him to move the state forward.
It was a beehive of activities at his lodge yesterday night as people trooped in to felicitate with him. The state APC leader, Senator Bukola Saraki and other APC chieftains also visited to congratulate him.
