Police nab suspected Card Reader thief in Kebbi

Police arrested a suspected Card Reader thief at Kola Tarasa Polling Unit in Badariya a suburb in Birnin Kebbi metropolis, witnesses said. But the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Nafiu Abubakar said the suspect was released after he was identified by INEC as one of its staff.

“INEC officials came forward and identified him as one of their staff who was assigned to move the materials to another polling unit. He was mistaken by voters who raised alarm. But the situation is under control and the exercise is moving on smoothly in the area,” he said.
