Accreditation commenced in many polling units at about 8 am in Benue state.
People were seen in polling centres in Taraku, Gwer East and Aliade in Gwer West as well as Otukpo Metropolis in the state in an orderly manner, taking their turns to do accreditation.
Voters said the process was going on well and that the card reader was working well except for reports from a polling unit in Otukpa where the voters complain that the card readers was not working.
The Senate President David Mark was accredited exactly 10:15am at his Otukpo Club, 011B polling unit.
“The entire environment is so peaceful. It requires a lot of patience for the card readers to go. The essence is to make sure that the entrie Nigerians vote and that their votes counts.
I had to clean my hands at various time because the first time it didn’t work,” he said.
