CAN urges Christians to maintain peace

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has appealed to Christians all over the country to maintain peace before, during and after the elections.
The General Secretary of the Kaduna State chapter of the association, Reverend Sunday Ibrahim, urged Christians to keep praying for the success of the elections. He also urged youths to eschew violence and embrace peace.
“Don’t do to anybody what you will not want them do to you,” he said.
He advised Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion and religious affiliation to pursue, desire and seek peace as well as conduct themselves in a matured manner.
“We must not kill, maim or embarrass anybody because of our differences so that at the end of the elections, everybody can rejoice. Nigerians must keep on praying, believing that everything will be done according to God’s will,” he said.
