We didn’t organize Buhari’s postponed visit – Gov Abubakar

The Bauchi State governor has said he did not initiate but merely sought to take advantage of a proposed visit by President Muhammadu Buhari to get some government projects commissioned.

Buhari was billed to visit the state today on the invitation of the Nigerian Air Force, which was postponed. 

In a statement yesterday by his Special Assistant on Communications, Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar, Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar said, “The projects His Excellency was going to commission were awarded before we knew the President was coming to Bauchi State. Alleging that these projects are being worked on simply because of the president’s visit is playing too much politics.”
