The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) said acquiring degrees in ICT related courses doesn’t indicate proper skill level required to develop Nigeria’s economy.

The Administrator of the institute, Dr Ike Adinde, disclosed this yesterday in Abuja on the sideline of the opening ceremony of the Validation of the National Occupational Standards in Selected ICT Skills.

He said there should be a framework for identifying and mainstreaming standards skill in certain areas of the ICT in order to make Nigeria a truly tech giant.

Dr. Adinde said the proposed framework will create a wider and more open access to people with adequate skills who do not have access to formal education in the University to have their skills standardised.
