The suspected killers of Istifanus Gurama, a senior strategist with Dangote Industries have been arrested by the Nigeria Police.
A statement released, Tuesday, by the Force spokesman, Don Awunah, said the suspects, arrested between November 27 and December 3 by the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT), have confessed to crime.
The suspects have also confessed to the abduction of five expatriate workers of the Dangote Group.
The police gave the names of the suspects as Abubakar Gide, 24; Abdullahi Salihu, 22; and Babuga Adamu, 25.
Mr. Gide was arrested in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun state, while Mr. Salihu and Mr. Adamu were arrested in Epe Forest, Lagos state and Ajase Ipo Forest in Kwara state respectively, the police said.
The suspects, according to the police statement, led the IRT operatives to Apoje River where the body of Mr. Gurama was recovered.
The police said they have also recovered three AK47 rifles, six AK47 magazines and 160 rounds of ammunitions from Ijebu Igbo Ogun Forest, said to be the gang’s hideout.
